The Darling Oyster’s menus this morning bobbed to the surface, foreshadowing the upper King Street restaurant’s imminent opening. A successor to Union Provisions, The Darling Oyster’s arrival was announced last fall. Owners Ben Russell-Schlesinger and Robert Young retained consultant Nathan Thurston to help them develop the “casual neighborhood spot,” complete with a raw bar.

Upcoming fish house The Darling Oyster Bar lifted its signage above the front door today. Finishing touches are going into the interiors, and the staff has started training, so it shouldn't be much longer until opening day. Once The Darling unlocks the doors, expect fried seafood platters, fish sandwiches, raw oysters, crab claws, shrimp cocktails, and other
